A WOMAN IN her late 30s has been arrested and will appear before Dublin District Court this morning in connection with the attempted murder of a Dublin man over 20 years ago.
The woman was arrested in Co Cavan yesterday by detectives investigating the death of Christopher Payne, 52, at his home in Crumlin in May 1988.
She will appear at the Criminal Courts of Justice at 10:30am this morning.
Payne was attacked at his home at Rutland Grove by men wearing balaclavas, and was attacked with a hatchet and a hammer.
He was seriously injured and died of his injuries in 1989. Two teenagers were jailed for their part in the attack.
