Woman dies in housefire in east Cork

Gardaí say the fire happened in Youghal just before 11pm last night.

A WOMAN HAS died after a housefire in Co Cork last night.

The 41-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene after a fire at a house in Redbarn in Youghal, east Cork at around 10.50pm last night.

Gardaí say there were no other injuries reported.

A post-mortem examination has been carried out on the body of the woman.

Gardaí say the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
