THE HEALTH RESEARCH Board today released figures that outlined Ireland’s depth of binge drinking.

The figures revealed how many Irish people of different ages drink and how much is spent.

The accompanying infographic lays out where Ireland drinks and how harmful drinking can be.

Today’s figures showed that 15% of 18-24-year-olds are alcohol dependent, something that alcohol charities said had been normalised.
