A second Ikea store is coming to Dublin this summer

Recruitment for 30 multi-skilled co-workers for the Carrickmines store has now begun

IKEA IS PLANNING to open a second outlet in Dublin this summer.

This will be Ikea’s first Order and Collection Point in Ireland and it will be located in The Park in Carrickmines.

The Order and Collection Point will not carry the full product range to take home, but customers will be able to order from the full range available at the IKEA Dublin Store for home delivery or for collection at the collection point.

In a statement the Swedish home furnishing store explained that the new store will act “primarily as a planning studio to plan and order more complex purchases such as kitchens, wardrobes and sofas”.

However, a small range of products will be available for customers to take home on the day of their visit and it will also stock a small selection of take-home Swedish Food Market products.

IKEA Order and Collection Development Manager Jack Jackson said, “We want to make our products and services available to more people and we are really excited to be bringing this unique new format to the south side of Dublin.

“Located just off Junction 15 of the M50, IKEA Dublin Carrickmines Order and Collection Point will be highly accessible via the Luas Green Line, through public bus service and by vehicle with ample car parking facilities available.”

Recruitment for 30 multi-skilled co-workers for the Carrickmines store has now begun. Jackson said, “As a values-based company, it’s not necessarily about the qualifications you bring but rather that you have the right attitude and share our passion for home furnishing and customer service.”
