Another man arrested in connection with Mark Desmond murder

Last night, four people arrested over the murder were released.

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED another man in connection with the murder of Mark Desmond.

A man in his late 20s was arrested in the early hours of this morning in Dublin city centre and was taken to Ronanstown Garda Station, where he is currently being detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Three men and one woman arrested as part of the investigation were released yesterday evening and late last night. Another man remains in custody at Lucan Garda Station.

Desmond was killed in the Lucan area of Dublin on 2 December last.

A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions and investigations are ongoing.
