Good news: Temperatures could reach the high teens this weekend

Met Éireann predicts dry and settled weather for an extended period.

WE MAY BE set for a cold morning to kick off Friday, but Met Éireann has forecast that we’re in for a fine weekend, with sunny spells and temperatures as high as 16 degrees in some areas.

Today, a dry day is forecast with sunny spells in Leinster and Ulster, with unbroken sunshine throughout south-west Munster.

Temperatures will range between 9 and 13 degrees today, with the east of the country a little cooler than the rest.

Tomorrow will be similarly dry with sunny spells widespread.

The highest temperatures will range between 12 and 16 degrees, in light breezes, with a moderate northeast wind in Leinster making things slightly cooler.

For the next few days, Met Éireann predicts “the weather will be dry and settled for the weekend and for the extended outlook period”.

Good sunshine is indicated for most days and the nights will be generally clear, but there will be cloud at times, with maybe a little patchy light rain or drizzle on Monday.

However, Saturday night will still be chilly, with the threat of another frost into Sunday morning. Beyond that, frost will likely be less severe.
