11 killed in Somali explosion
AN EXPLOSION in the Somali capital of Mogadishu has killed 11 people. Most of the dead are Islamists militants, who are thought to have died when a car bomb malfunctioned, going off prematurely. Over 21,000 Somalis have been killed since an insurgency against the western-backed government began in 2007.
