3. #CAVAN: A father-of-four who killed his wife at their home has been jailed for 12 years after his manslaughter conviction.

4. #TRAGEDY: Another distress call has gone out in the Mediterranean from a boat carrying 300 people, following hundreds of deaths in similar incidents in the last week.

5. #STRIKE: Siptu bus drivers at Dublin Bus and Bus Éireann have voted to strike for four days next month, with a further three days planned by the National Bus and Rail Union.
