2. #SOCIAL MEDIA: The EU has said that TikTok needs to change its “addictive design” or risk heavy fines under the bloc’s digital content rules, drawing a sharp pushback from the Chinese-owned platform.

3. #WEATHER: A Status Orange rain warning for Co Louth elapsed at 12 noon and the same alert warning was lifted at 9am for Dublin, Wicklow and Waterford. The popular north Dublin seawater swimming pool, Clontarf Baths, was substantially damaged as a result of last night’s flooding.

4. #EXCAVATION: A further 22 sets of infant remains have been uncovered by forensic specialists excavating the site of the former mother and baby home in Tuam.
