1. #SHOOTING A man (46) who presented himself to the PSNI in connection with the Bernard McGinley shooting in Fermanagh has been charged and will appear before Omagh Magistrates Court this morning.

2. #MEET-UP Fine Gael begins the second day of its ardfheis today in Co Mayo. The national conference will hear from Health Minister Leo Varadkar, who is expected to talk about recruitment in the health service.

3. #GARDAÍ Garda Commissioner Noirín O’Sullivan told a conference in Dublin Castle that as a recruit she was once sent home for refusing to make ham sandwiches. She feared she would be sacked but was later moved to an undercover unit.

4. #COLLISION A woman (61) died after a road traffic collision involving four vehicles in Tullow yesterday evening. Two occupants of two other cars were injured and taken to hospital.

5. #GREECE Greece has won a four-month extension on its debt bailout from the Eurozone – but with strict conditions attached. The country will submit a list of reforms to the troika by Monday.

6. #MAIRIA CAHILL In a wide-ranging interview with TheJournal.ie, Gerry Adams told us that he has given the gardaí names of alleged IRA sex offenders. He said he is confident he has given them all of the information he has on alleged abusers.

7. #DUBAI A huge fire broke out in the 336-metre tall Marina Torch tower in Dubai this morning, sparking an evacuation. No one was killed in the incident.

8. #IRISH WATER We can expect a month of water protests across Ireland, with one due to take place in Dublin city centre today at 2pm. This protest will call for the release of five protesters who were recently sentenced to jail.

9. #ASLAN Christy Dignam, frontman for Aslan, is in hospital. The band told their Facebook fans that Dignam – who has cancer – is being kept in “for further tests” after feeling ill on Thursday.
