A 27-YEAR-OLD woman was charged with murder today in connection with the death of man who died after his car drove off a pier in Arklow last year.
Orsos Csaba (31) – who was originally from Hungary – died after the car he was in drove off the pier and entered the water in March 2013.
His body was discovered later, washed up on a beach nearby.
Gardaí arrested Marta Herda, of 22 Pairc na Saille, Emoclew Road in Arklow, this morning, and she was formally charged with murder at Bray District Court after 11 am.
She had previously been questioned in August of last year but was released without charge.
A woman who had been in the car with Csaba when it entered the water escaped the vehicle and was treated for shock at St Colmcille’s Hospital in Loughlinstown.
Herda has been remanded in custody until Wednesday, when she will appear before Arklow District Court.
