Motorcyclist who collided with bus dies

The man in his 30s was seriously injured when the bike he was on collided with a bus at the weekend.

A MOTORCYCLIST WHO was hospitalised after a collision with a bus over the weekend has died this afternoon.

The man in his 30s was seriously injured when the motorcycle he was on collided with a bus on the R439 at Ballaghanoher in Birr, Co Offaly on Saturday afternoon at around 2.30pm.

He died at approximately 4pm in hospital today, Gardaí confirmed.

They have also renewed their appeal for information in relation to the collision, asking any witnesses to contact them at Birr Garda Station on 057-9169710 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
