Man arrested in seizure of cannabis plants worth €90,000

The man in his 30s is being held at Bray Garda Station.

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED a man in the seizure of cannabis plants with estimated street value of €90,000 in Wicklow.

The arrest and seizure yesterday follow an intelligence-let operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Wicklow area. Gardaí said they carried out a planned search of two adjoining houses on Quill Road, Kilmacanogue, at 1pm.

Cannabis plants at various stages of growth were discovered with an estimated street value of up to €90,000. A man in his early 30s was arrested at the scene and is currently detained at Bray Garda Station.

The scene is currently preserved for a technical a examination.
