Cannabis plants worth €400,000 seized by Gardaí

Two men have been arrested following the raid at a warehouse in Kinlough in Leitrim.

TWO MEN HAVE been arrested today after Gardaí discovered €400,000 worth of cannabis plants at a warehouse in Co Leitrim.

The discovery of the plants was made at about 9.3oam today following a planned search of the warehouse at Gargrim, Kinlough.

The operation involved Gardaí from Manorhamilton District, the Drug Unit/Task Force from Sligo and the Garda National Drugs Unit.

The two men were arrested at the scene and are currently being detained at Manorhamilton Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

The Gardaí said the raid and subsequent arrests are part of an ongoing operation in Leitrim. Investigations are continuing, they said.
