THE REVENUE COMMISSIONERS’ Customs Service has seized 14.4 kg of cannabis resin at Rosslare Europort in Co Wexford today following an alert from a sniffer dog.
The cannabis resin, with an estimated street value of €86,400, was discovered in a car that was coming off of the ferry from France.
On foot of routine profiling and an indication from a Revenue sniffer dog named Alfie, the car was scanned by x-ray and the drugs were discovered concealed in the car.
A British man in his 40s was arrested in connection with the drug seizure and taken to Wexford Garda Station.
