Children die in crash during Mexican day trip

At least two children were reported to be among the dead following the crash, which took place on a highway as the bus was headed to an exotic animal farm.

SEVERAL CHILDREN ARE reported to have been killed in a bus crash while on a day trip in Mexico.

ABC News reports that two children were among 11 people reported dead following the crash in Michoacan. However the BBC says that three children had died in the crash.

The bus was on its way to an exotic animal farm when the crash occurred, BBC News reports. Meanwhile, Fox News says that there were 19 people injured in the crash, which took place at 11am on the Uruapan-Taretan highway.

Parents and teachers were said to have been on board the bus as well as the children.
