Will you watch The Odyssey?

The latest work from acclaimed director Christopher Nolan is out now in cinemas.

CHRISTOPHER NOLAN’S LATEST FILM, The Odyssey, arrived in Irish cinemas last week.

The director has brought Homer’s epic to the big screen with a blockbuster budget and an all-star ensemble cast, including Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland and Zendaya, to name a few.

The Journal’s Andrew Walsh attended an early screening of the adaptation and described it as “relentless”. He added: “At times, it’s almost suffocating.”

Walsh also spoke to Irish classicists to gather their thoughts on Nolan’s reimagining of the ancient Greek epic.

The Odyssey’s release has been highly anticipated since the project was first announced in late 2024.

So, we’re wondering: Will you watch it?
