Four people killed in Wexford crash

Three men and one woman were pronounced dead at the scene.

FOUR PEOPLE HAVE died after a crash that involved a lorry and a car in Wexford this evening.

It happened on the N25 on the New Ross to Ballinaboola road at Begerin at around 6.30pm.

Three men and one woman were in the car. The four were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the lorry and a passenger in the lorry were uninjured in the collision.

The road is closed to facilitate a forensic collision examination and will remain closed until at least lunchtime tomorrow.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact New Ross Garda station on 051 426030, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
