D-Day for the dragon slayer: Michael D takes over the front pages

There’s only one story dominating the papers today….

THERE’S ONLY ONE story for the front pages of the newspapers today, and it’s Michael D all the way.

He hasn’t been officially elected yet, but it’s thought to be only a matter of hours until he is named as Ireland’s next president.

Higgins and his wife Sabina were in Dublin Castle last night, expressing delight at the result and accepting the congratulations of the other candidates.
