FORENSIC TESTS WERE being carried out this afternoon at an industrial estate in West Dublin where a man in his 20s died in an attack overnight.
Gardaí were called to the scene, at Parkwest, at around 4am and discovered the man, who was badly injured.
He was taken by ambulance to nearby Tallaght Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
It’s understood officers were called to the industrial estate after reports of a disturbance caused by a rave event at one of the industrial units.
A post-mortem is under-way at the moment, the results of which will determine the course of the garda investigation.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to contact them at Ballyfermot Garda Station on 01 666 7200, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666111 or any garda station.
Additional reporting, Daragh Brophy.
