ALL OF TODAY’S papers are dominated by a photograph of Cllr Eoghan Murphy, a Fine Gael hopeful who’s likely to follow his party colleague Lucinda Creighton into the Dáil in this month’s election.
In the photos – produced here courtesy of Maxwells Photography – Murphy braves the wet and windy conditions at the Great South Wall to meet a potential voters and hand him an election leaflet.
And though the photographs do show the lengths that some candidates will go to in order to clinch every last vote, Murphy has little to worry about in securing the support of the swimmer, voter Tiarnan Sparks – who Murphy this afternoon confirmed works full-time in his campaign office.
