The seizure was made after searches at two premises in Dublin’s city centre today.

FIVE MEN HAVE been arrested this evening in connection with a seizure of €80,000 worth of heroin.

Gardaí said they conducted planned searches of two premises in Dublin’s city centre this afternoon where they found heroin with an estimated street value of €80,000 and an amount of cash.

Four men in their 20s and one man in his 60s were arrested during the operation. They are currently being detained at various garda stations across the city for drug trafficking offences.

Gardaí said these kinds of operations are vital “to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks”.
