Poll: Have you ever bought an issue of Playboy?

Give it to us straight. Be honest.

THE NEWS OF Hugh Hefner’s death this morning has seen him described as a revolutionary by some, a man who sexually exploited women by others.

Whatever the method, he created a huge media empire during his lifetime and even past retirement age continued to take an active role in the editorial side of Playboy.

The magazine actually only hit Irish shelves in 1995 after spending decades on the banned list. (Here’s a look by our writer Cianan Brennan at what we were missing out on for all those years.)

Over the years, many people claim to have bought the publication for the interesting, ‘high-brow’ articles. Did you? And was it for that reason? Let us know in the comments.

Today we’re asking: Have you ever bought an issue of Playboy?

Poll Results:

No (5746)
Yes (3305)
Never bought one, but I've flicked through it before alright (2515)
