Irish community in Sydney gather to search for missing Clare man

The 33-year-old man has been missing since Saturday.

A SEARCH PARTY of around 80 people from the Irish community in Sydney gathered on Tuesday evening to search for missing Clare man Donal O’Sullivan.

O’Sullivan, from Clooney, Co Clare, was last seen on Saturday morning at around 10.30am on Bronte Road in Bondi Junction by his brother, Johnnie.

The search party met in the Cock ‘n’ Bull in Bondi Junction on Tuesday evening in a bid to help locate O’Sullivan, known as ‘Donie’.

They were split into dozens of groups and were given coloured posters with Donie’s picture to put up in their assigned areas and to hand out on the street.

The groups hit areas such as the Eastern Suburbs, Darling Harbour, The Rocks and The Central Business District.

Donie’s brother Johnnie and friends are hoping for a similar turnout for a daylight search this afternoon at 12.30pm. The search is set to continue all day today.
