Man (50s) dies after single-vehicle collision in Co Tipperary

The collision happened today on the R505 near Dundrum.

A MAN IN his 50s has died after a single-vehicle collision this evening in Co Tipperary.

The collision occurred on the R505 near Dundrum, Co Tipperary shortly before 5.50pm.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body has been removed to University Hospital Waterford, where post-mortem examinations will take place in due course.

The road is currently closed pending examination by garda forensic collision investigators, with local diversions in place.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have been travelling on the R505 between 5.30pm and 6pm.

Road users who may have camera footage, including dash cam or mobile phone recordings, are asked to make this footage available.
