Man (80s) dies from injuries sustained after being struck by bus in Co Wicklow

The man was taken to St Vincent’s University Hospital to be treated for serious injuries and has since died.

A MAN IN his 80s has died from the injuries he sustained after being struck by a bus in Co Wicklow earlier this week.

On Thursday, 12 March the man was taken to St Vincent’s University Hospital to be treated for serious injuries after he was struck by a bus on the Station Road in Bray shortly before 6pm.

He was pronounced dead yesterday evening.

A garda spokesperson said a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.

A technical examination of the scene was conducted and gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.

Road users and pedestrians who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were in the area of Station Road, Bray between 5:40pm and 6:10pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
