Man in his 20s dies in single-vehicle road collision in Co Meath

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

GARDAÍ ARE AT the scene of a fatal single-vehicle road traffic collision that occurred at Oldcastle, Co Meath in the early hours of this morning.

A man in his 20s, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene a short time after gardaí and emergency services responded to the collision. 

The road is currently closed with local diversions in place and Garda Forensic Collision Investigators have been notified, a Garda spokesperson said.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
 
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
