THE IRISH COMPANY Monex has announced the creation of 20 new jobs in Co Kerry.

The financial services firm, which operates in 26 countries, has announced the creation of the jobs in senior positions at its headquarters in Killarney.

Established in Killarney in 1997, the company describes itself as a global leader in multi-currency credit card processing, handling payments valued in excess of €17.2 billion and processing over 100 million transactions annually worldwide.

The company said it is boosting its workforce in response to major growth in the their overseas business and the securing of a number of new contracts.
