Irish health supplement recalled after salmonella found in it

Own a pouch of it? You’re asked to return the product.

AN IRISH HEALTH supplement has had to be recalled after it emerged a batch contained salmonella.

The batch of chlorella powder from Nua Naturals has been removed from the shelves after the company discovered that salmonella was detected in one of the jars.

Nua Naturals is recalling the following two products:

  • Nua Naturals Organic Chlorella Powder with Added Probiotics, 140 g in jar
  • Nua Naturals Organic Chlorella Powder, 250g in pouch.

The batch code is 140319, and the best before date is 6/2016.

If you have a jar or pouch from this batch, you’re asked to return it.

Chorella is an algae and used as a health supplement.
