Pedestrian killed in Co Kildare crash

Man was killed last night after being struck by a vehicle outside Castledermot, Co Kildare.

GARDAÍ IN CO KILDARE ARE investigating a road crash on the N9 outside Castledermot in which a pedestrian was killed last night.

A man, 33, was seriously injured when struck by a vehicle at around 10.20pm and was taken to Naas General Hospital, where he died a short time later.

The N9 Moone to Castledermot Road remains closed just north of Castledermot for a technical examination.
