US BUSINESS ANALYTICS SAS is to create 150 jobs over three years in a new inside sales and customer contact centre in Dublin, it was announced today.

The €40 million investment will see the company’s Irish workforce increase six-fold.

The new centre, which will initially be located at the NexusUCD industry partnership centre at University College Dublin, will support sales of data analytics software into markets across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Positions will include multi-lingual business development and sales specialists, customer engagement specialists, data scientists and software engineers.

Carl Farrell of SAS said the company “wanted to expand in a city as vibrant as Dublin which has such a thriving technology ecosystem”.

Speaking after the announcement, Taoiseach Enda Kenny called the expansion “a significant vote of confidence in Ireland and in our people”.

“Our reputation as a centre of software excellence is unrivalled in Europe,” he said.

SAS employs over 13,000 staff worldwide, with 400 offices in 56 countries.
