Are you sunburnt?

It’s hot out there.

YESTERDAY, WE ASKED our readers about wearing sun cream amid high temperatures and sunny conditions across the country.

And it really was hot. So hot, in fact, that the provisional record high temperature for May was recorded at Shannon Airport.

Met Éireann has now issued a Status Yellow high temperature warning for eight counties from midday until 6pm on Wednesday.

As often happens when the sun first appears, some people get carried away, head outdoors without sun cream and end up learning the hard, red and sore-skinned way.

The HSE and Met Éireann are advising anyone spending time outdoors to protect their skin from the sun.

So, we wanted to check in and ask: are you sunburnt?
