Thousands expected at Dublin Pride Parade

The annual parade will take place in the city later today and we want your pics from the event.

THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE are expected on the streets of Dublin today to celebrate Gay Pride.

The annual Pride Parade will follow the same route as last year with those taking part starting at the Garden of Remembrance at the top of Parnell Square in Dublin at 2pm.

The parade will then head down O’Connell Street, over O’Connell Bridge, through D’olier Street and Dame Street. It will then pass City hall and will finish at the Civic Offices.

AA say that rolling road closures will be in place on the streets that the parade will pass through. The event is expected to finish at around 4pm today.

If you’re heading to the parade, send your pictures to us and we’ll publish them in our gallery later today. Tweet them to @thejournal_ie or email them to tips@thejournal.ie. You can also send us your photos directly from our apps by clicking on the camera icon on the top left of the screen.
