Three men in court over Clondalkin robbery

A retail premises in Dublin was raided yesterday morning.

THE THREE MEN arrested yesterday in connection with an armed robbery in Clondalkin have been charged.

The suspects, all aged in their 20s, will appear before Blanchardstown District Court on 24 January 2013.

At about 8am Sunday, three men armed with an imitation firearm and knives entered the store on Tower Road. They threatened staff before making off on foot with a quantity of cigarettes and cash.

They were apprehended and arrested by uniformed Gardaí in the vicinity a short time later. All of the stolen property, as well as the knives and imitation gun, was recovered. A car believed to have been taken in the Lucan area earlier was also located.
