FOUR-YEAR-OLD Tom Connors, who lost his parents and three siblings in the Carrickmines fire, is due to be released from hospital today.

Tom’s parents Thomas and Sylvia Connors and his siblings Jim (5), Christy (2) and Mary (6 months) were killed in the halting site tragedy in the early hours of Saturday 10 October.

Tom’s brother Michael (5) was unharmed as he was not sleeping in the same prefab.

The children will now be cared for by their grandparents.

A removal service for the Connors family will be held at the Church of the Ascension of the Lord, in Balally at 5pm today.

Their funeral mass will take place at the Dublin church tomorrow at 11.30am.

A procession will then take place to the Church of the Assumption, Bride Street, in Wexford town, arriving at 5pm.

The first of the Carrickmines funerals took place in Bray yesterday.

Willie Lynch, 25, his partner Tara Gilbert, 27, and their two children Jodie, 9, and Kelsey, 4 were laid to rest with Willie’s brother Jimmy Lynch, 39.
