Two arrests after €2.4 million worth of cannabis seized in Co Meath

Around 120kg of herbal cannabis was seized.

TWO MEN HAVE been arrested after revenue seized €2,400,000 worth of cannabis in Co Meath yesterday.

As part of an intelligence-led joint operation involving the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and the Revenue’s Customs Service, around 120kg of herbal cannabis was seized.

All of the drugs seized will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for further analysis.

The two males, both in their 50s, were arrested by An Garda Síochána and are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Garda Station in County Meath area.

Investigations are ongoing.
