A THIRD PERSON has been arrested in connection with the discovery of the body of a man in Dublin city yesterday.
A man in his 30s was arrested today and taken to Mountjoy Garda station where he is being detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.
Two other people – a man in his 30s and a woman in her 40s – remain in garda custody after being arrested in relation to the death.
The deceased, 53, was discovered in a flat in Prussia Street by gardaí at approximately 2.50pm on Saturday. It is understood that he had been stabbed and that his body had been kept at the location for a number of days.
A post mortem examination is being carried out today to establish the cause of death.
