US VICE-PRESIDENT Joe Biden, of the Finnegan clan, gave the opening address ahead of Enda Kenny’s reception at the White House last night.

He said he believes “passion, and being able to love with abandon,” is the essence of being Irish. Check out the rest of his speech and the words of US President Barack Obama and Taoiseach Enda Kenny in the video below.

Long-lost cousin Henry and pub-keeper Olly Hayes also make an appearance. It was quite the love-fest.
