AFTER A LONG, cold winter it looks as though spring has finally sprung.
The mild weather many places are enjoying this week is set to continue.
Met Éireann says today will be bright with good sunny spells, though there will be some cloud in places.
Temperatures will peak at nine degrees Celsius in eastern and southern coastal counties, but it’ll be milder elsewhere with temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees.
This will dip to zero to four degrees overnight, with some mist and fog developing.
Tomorrow will be bright again, with a mix of cloud and sunny spells. Afternoon temperatures will range from from eight to 14 degrees. It’ll be coolest in eastern and southern areas. There’ll be some sharp frost, mist and fog overnight.
St Patrick’s day is set to be dry and bright with a mix of cloud and sunny spells. It will be cool with afternoon temperatures of eight or nine degrees in eastern and southern coastal counties, due to moderate east to southeast winds. It’ll be milder elsewhere with temperatures of 11 or 12 degrees.
