THE WEATHER IS set to stay fine today and there’ll be warm, dry conditions in some areas tomorrow too. We can expect quite a change after that though – there’s wind and rain on the way from the west, with the worst of it set to hit tomorrow night.
Rain will develop in the west from tomorrow morning, extending to the rest of the country during the afternoon and the early evening.
Winds will pick up too tomorrow, and Met Éireann says it will be “extremely windy” tomorrow night. No weather alerts have been issued as yet, however.
The strongest winds are expected along the Atlantic coast, where the rain will also be heaviest.
Thursday will be windy at first with rain in places early on. There will be a few sunny spells later, however.
It will be dry at first on Friday but there’ll be widespread rain in the afternoon.
The outlook for the weekend, at this stage, is for “changeable” weather.
Temperatures will take a dip after tomorrow, with daytime conditions of between 14 and 18 degrees between Thursday and Sunday.
