A WOMAN IN her 80s died this morning after the car she was a passenger in crashed in a Dublin car park.
A man, also aged in his 80s, was driving the car. No other vehicles were involved in the collision and no other injuries were reported.
The man was taken to Tallaght Hospital to be treated for injuries believed to be non-life threatening.
The collision occurred in a car park on Idrone Avenue, Knocklyon, Dublin 16 this morning at approximately 10.55am.
It’s understood the car’s passenger side struck a brick wall enclosing the car park, causing significant damage to the vehicle.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
The scene was held for technical examination by Forensic Collision investigators and has since been lifted.
