Man arrested after drugs worth €1.1 million seized in Dublin

Drugs were seized at Dublin Port and Ballycoolin Industrial Estate.

GARDAÍ AND REVENUE officers have seized drugs worth €1.1 million and arrested a man in Dublin following a joint operation.

Customs officers seized a pallet of goods which contained suspected controlled drugs at Dublin Port on Tuesday.

A further 150 kilograms of suspected cannabis resin and 3 kilograms of cocaine, both pending analysis, were seized at Ballycoolin Industrial Estate in Dublin.

The drugs have a total estimated street value of €1.1 million.

A man in his 40s was arrested and is currently detained at Ballyfermot Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act 1996.
