GARDAÍ ARE SEARCHING for two men involved in the robbery of a jewellery shop in Malahide, in Dublin, yesterday which left a female staff member injured and taken to hospital.
At around 5pm yesterday, at least two suspects entered the premises at The Diamond in Malahide Village.
They threatened staff in the shop, and took a number of items including watches.
The female staff member became involved in an altercation, and was injured. An ambulance was called, and she was taken to hospital.
Her injuries are not described as life-threatening.
Both men are said to have run in the direction of St Margaret’s Avenue, Malahide.
The two male suspects are described as:
- 5’9′, around 50 years of age, wearing glasses and a yellow jacket
- The second was wearing a black jacket, white hat and was much younger than the first.
