The Open Gate Brewery at St. James’s Gate launched today, located in that secret little door beside the main entrance on James’s Street.

The experimental brewery has been open to brewers to explore new recipes and bring new ones to life for over 100 years. Now, they’re opening the gates so you can get a look at what goes on inside, all in the surroundings of a cool industrial-feel bar.

The usual draught Guinness will be available, as well as Hop House 13 Lager, Dublin Porter, West Indies Porter, and a range of small batch experimental beers.

Speaking at the launch, Diageo’s global head of beer Mark Sandys said that many tipples which have not been available to date in Ireland, such as Guinness Nitro IPA, will now also be exclusively available in the bar.

People are becoming more interested in beer and the stories behind it, and The Open Gate Brewery gives these people the freedom to experiment and find new tastes.
