KERRY is the most popular ‘staycation’ destination according to a new survey.

With more and more of us holidaying at home it’s the South and the West that have proved popular hotspots. Galway, comes in second and along with Wexford and Cork, these are the most popular destinations according to Myhome.ie

Dublin failed to make the cut. Holidays homes in the capital come in at €735 per week compared to just €290 for Longford – not much to see there, but it’s not too far from Galway.

Those Discover Ireland ad’s most be effective then. “I want to go, I want to get away….”
