Bob Dylan to play Dublin gig next year

The musician recently won the Nobel Prize for Literature.

BOB DYLAN IS set to play a show in Ireland next summer.

The music icon is due to perform at the 3Arena in Dublin on 11 May 2017.

Tickets will go on sale next Wednesday, 14 December, at 9am.

The Like a Rolling Stone songwriter recently made headlines for being awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature - a decision met with a mixed reaction.

A ceremony to mark the honour will be held in Stockholm tomorrow, but Dylan won’t be in attendance due to previous commitments.

A speech he wrote will be read at the banquet and rock legend Patti Smith will perform a version of Dylan’s A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall.
