Christmas Cheer

The Irish actor Colin Farrell dropped in with presents to spend time with some of the young patients yesterday.

THE ACTOR COLIN Farrell dropped in to visit children at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin, south Dublin yesterday.

In what is said to be an annual tradition for the Hollywood star, Farrell visited the hospital bearing gifts for the children and posed for this pictures as well as meeting and chatting with some of the young patients and their parents.

Here he is with patient Max Wenman and his dad who posted on Facebook: “Colin Farrell comes in every Christmas Day for the last few years to visit the kids – no press – no photographers – just him and pressies – What a gent.”

Max’s mum Cathy told TheJournal.ie that the Irish actor seemed “genuinely interested in interacting with the children and making the day even more special for them”.

She added: “I have been overwhelmed at how kind and generous people have been, between all the presents that have been sent in – to people bringing in breakfast rolls and Turkey & Ham on Christmas Day. It certainly brings home the true spirit of Christmas.”
