DANIEL CRAIG HAS confirmed he will return as James Bond.
Last month the New York Times reported that the British actor would be reprising the role. Craig finally confirmed this while appearing on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night.
When the host brought up the topic, Craig said: “I have been quite cagey about it. I have been doing interviews all day and people have been asking me and I think I’ve been rather coy.
“But kind of felt like, you know sort of, if I was going to speak the truth I should speak truth to you.”

Colbert then said: “We could use some good news here. Daniel Craig, will you return as James Bond?” Craig replied that this was indeed the case.
Two years ago, the actor said he’d rather “slash my wrists” than make another Bond film.
When Colbert brought this up, Craig said: ”Look, there’s no point in making excuses about it, but it was two days after I’d finished shooting the last movie. I went straight into an interview and someone said would you do another one and I went, ‘No!’
Instead of saying something with style and grace, I gave a really stupid answer.
When asked last night if the new film would be his last outing as Bond, Craig said: “I think this is it. I just want to go out on a high note. I can’t wait. ”
The next installment of the franchise – which hasn’t been named yet – is due to be released in November 2019. It will be Craig’s fifth appearance as Ian Fleming’s famous character.
