TWO MEN REMAIN in custody after gardaí arrested them following the seizure of explosives in Dublin yesterday evening.
The explosives were discovered at around 6pm after members of the Emergency Response Unit pulled over a van on Spring Garden Street in Ballybough in the inner city.
The Defence Forces attended the scene to safely remove the explosives. The search was part of an ongoing investigation into dissident republican activity.
The two men are being detained at Clontarf Garda Station.
