Woman killed after crash with truck in Meath this afternoon

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A WOMAN HAS died after her car collided with a truck in Meath this afternoon.

It happened at Baymore Cross in Laytown at around 2pm.

The woman, aged in her 30s, was the sole occupant of the car.

She was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was removed to Our Lady’s Hospital Navan. The driver of the truck did not require hospital treatment.

This stretch of road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
